Overview: $37.9 Million Upgrade
This $37.9 million upgrade of the Caboolture-Bribie Island Road from Aerodrome Road to Pasturage Road provided a median-divided four-lane road with traffic signals at key intersections. Location: Caboolture-Bribie Island Road from Aerodrome Road to Pasturage Road, Caboolture Completion: February 2009 to April 2010 (three months ahead of schedule) Benefits: The key benefits of the project included:
- improved safety and traffic flow for road users
- upgraded intersections with traffic signals and improved access· along Caboolture- Bribie Island Road
- improved pedestrian and cyclist facilities
- new public transport facilities
- reduced travel times for freight, tourist and local traffic
- accommodating for future traffic growth in the area.
Funding: $37.9 million (state funded)
