Allen's Asphalt has completed work on surfacing the Maroochydore Road section from the Bruce Highway to Kunda park. Civil work was undertaken by FRH and were completed to schedule.

There are several pavement designs matched to the design requirements as set by the Queensland Department of Main Roads.

The pavement designs included Polymer Modified Seals under various Dense Grade Asphalt layers.
