Knowing that Allens Asphalt have been successfully servicing local councils in the SEQ area for over 25 years, we are always pleased when we hear that Allens have successfully tendered for one of our local projects. We have great relationships with their people, and this goes a long way in getting a project completed without the usual headaches that can come with roadwork projects. The communication between both parties is always top notch. Great group of people.
Blackbutt Range Reconstruction Project
In the wake of one of the worst natural disasters in Queensland history, the D’Aguilar Highway through the Blackbutt Range was closed as a result of major landslip damage along an almost a 2.5km stretch of the road. The highway has been reconstructed to 2 lanes.
Reconstruction works to rebuild this important transport route included geotechnical stabilisation works, extensive excavation, drainage and pavement works. All reconstruction works comply with current road design, safety, geotechnical and environmental standards.
The restoration and reconstruction of this vital transport corridor has improved safety for the community and transport industry travelling along the D’Aguilar Highway.
