We recently engaged Allens paving crew to perform a large scale asphalt project under challenging site condition with high traffic volumes to be worked around. Their supervisor & senior asphalt crew members proved to be a great help in terms of providing input based on past experiences with similar jobs, which resulted in completing the job in the most efficient manner whilst also ensuring the safety of all workers and motorists.
Blackbutt Range Reconstruction Project
In the wake of one of the worst natural disasters in Queensland history, the D’Aguilar Highway through the Blackbutt Range was closed as a result of major landslip damage along an almost a 2.5km stretch of the road. The highway has been reconstructed to 2 lanes.
Reconstruction works to rebuild this important transport route included geotechnical stabilisation works, extensive excavation, drainage and pavement works. All reconstruction works comply with current road design, safety, geotechnical and environmental standards.
The restoration and reconstruction of this vital transport corridor has improved safety for the community and transport industry travelling along the D’Aguilar Highway.
